// Overview

A file gathering records in which an order of photographs, once collected, held one extra print that answered to neither the order nor any original. What is pictured is, in every case, the inside of the orderer’s own home, with no one in it. Alongside the words — no one remembers taking it — one remark is repeated: the height it was taken from is wrong. The instances that occurred with film reprinting and the instances that occurred after the process had been replaced entirely stand here in the same shape. What is bound are copies of a photo shop’s diary from an arcade, a transcription of a recent exchange between two sisters whose family used the shop, and a copy of an inquiry addressed to a firm contracted to sell photographs, among other pieces. What has been gathered is almost all from the receiving side; from the shop’s side there is only the one diary.
